BLM Sells 5.8 Million Board Feet of Timber

The Bureau of Land Management — The Bureau of Land Management’s Coos Bay District sold three timber sales containing approximately 5.8 million board feet of timber today during an oral auction. The Paradise Tie timber sale, located in Douglas County, was purchased by Webber Logging of Roseburg, Oregon for $90,513.40.

The sale contains 3.1 million board feet and was appraised at $90,513.40. Webber Logging also purchased the Heavy Bone Commercial Thin timber sale for $26,968.80. The timber sale contains 2 million board feet and is located in Coos County. There was one other bidder on the timber sale. Finally, the North Soup Rethin Density Management timber sale, located in Douglas County, was purchased by Black Butte Enterprises of Curtin, Oregon for $26,968.80. The sale contains 765 thousand board feet and was appraised at $22, 146.90. There were two other bidders on the timber sale. All three timber sales are in conformance with the Coos Bay District’s 1995 Resource Management Plan.
