Wind farmers battle BPA over power cutbacks

Wind farmers battle BPA
Natural Resource News Notes:

The Oregonian reports this week that several wind farmers have filed a complaint with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission against the Bonneville Power Administration. The complaint is made to stop the BPA from reducing win energy created in the area. The BPA reduces wind generation because high river levels has created an overabundance of hydro generated power. The reductions have the effect of shutting down wind farms in many areas.

Filing the compliant are PacifiCorp, Iberdrola Renewables, Next Era Energy Resources, Invenergy Wind North America and Horizon Wind Energy.
