The Capital Press is reporting that Federal Judge, Thomas Coiffin, wants the money taken from local Oregon blueberry farmers returned. There is over $220,000 of funds that were taken from the local farmers. The Department of Labor is declining to return $73,500 of the funds that were already given out. A previous Judge commented earlier in the case abotu teh funds that the farmers “had no choice but to agree to the consent judgments,” and were “effectively prevented…from having their day in court.”
