Register for OFB Convention by Nov. 6

The 2009 OFB State Convention is scheduled for Dec. 8-10 at the Hood River Inn in Hood River, right in the heart of the Columbia Gorge. November 6 is the deadline for both convention registration and hotel reservations. Registration forms and hotel information are available on oregonfb.org and ofbinfo.org, from county Farm Bureau presidents, or by calling the OFB office at (503) 399-1701.
One of the highlights of the convention will be the Wednesday evening dinner featuring a presentation by renowned photographer Paul Mobley. Mobley photographed an incredible array of farmers and ranchers from around the country (including Oregon) for his book “American Farmer.” Country Financial is proud to sponsor Mobley?s slideshowand-storytelling event celebrating agriculture.
The Tuesday night Agro Awards dinner will take place at the one-of-a-kind Western Antique Aeroplane & Auto Museum. Wednesday afternoon workshops include a review of the state legislative session, a federal issues update, and a descrption of ODA marketing programs.
The selection of tours includes a fruit co-op, brewery, glass company, and winery. At the House of Delegates, elections for OFB President and 2nd Vice President will
take place, along with work on the organization’s policy priorities for the coming year.
