Farmers want your used pumpkins

By Oregon Family Farm Association,

After packing away the skeletons and witches, pile up the pumpkins to feed to local piggies. Rather than tossing them in the trash, farmers encourage people to donate their leftover jack-o-lanterns to farmers as feed for their hogs and chickens, according to KXL. To find a farm seeking old pumpkins, check the Pumpkins for Pigs website. But do it before the orange gourds grow moldy, which can sicken the animals.
