Anyone with an extra $35 million can purchase a gigantic ranch in Central Oregon that dwarfs the city of Bend two hours away, according to The Oregonian/OregonLive. The 24,020 acres on what today is known as the Stanley Ranch features a three-bedroom, two-bath house, an 800-square-foot bunkhouse, a 10-car garage, a horse arena, 26 miles of rivers and streams, 270 acres of water rights, and a 3,600-square-foot saloon with a theater. Cabins dot the landscape, which ranges from 1,100 feet along the John Day River to more than 3,900-foot elevation at the headwaters of Deep Creek and the West Fork of Butte Creek, according to the listing. Big game, birds, and fisheries abound. The ranch in Wheeler County—population 1,451—even contains hidden caves and cliffs used by Columbia Plateau natives as evidenced by two pristine sites of rock art and pictographs. Two adjacent ranches could be purchased for another $7.3 million to bring the total acres to 32,710 acres.
