Want to own the inspiration that brought the Apple logo to MacIntosh computers? The 388-acre apple farm outside McMinnville, Ore., that inspired Steve Jobs to create the Apple brand is being sold with a price tag of $5 million, according to The Oregonian/OregonLive. Jobs, the late founder of Apple, attended Reed College in 1972 and shared a room with Steve Wozniak, a high school friend who, with Ronald Wayne, joined Jobs in creating Apple Computer Co. in 1976. Jobs dropped out of college after his first semester but lived near campus and audited classes. After visiting the apple orchard at All One Farm, a countercultural commune created by a fellow Red classmate, Jobs decided on the new tech company’s name. His girlfriend lived on the farm when their daughter, Lisa Nicole Brennan-Jobs, was born in 1978.
