Make America Healthy Again Commission Publishes Strategy Recommendations

By Oregonians for Food and Shelter,

Last week, the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission released its Make Our Children Healthy Again: Recommendations of the MAHA Commission to President Trump, detailing its strategy to address childhood chronic disease through Federal Government restructuring. Although EPA is a key agency in the Strategy, the proposed actions appear to generally align with existing law including the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). We appreciate the administration working to ensure that agriculture and other industries that rely on pesticides and our robust regulatory system continue to be supported as part of this effort. OFS will continue to monitor for any potential issues or opportunities stemming from these recommendations.
