This week, OFS joined a coalition of agricultural and natural resource organizations in formal comments [7] on the draft Performance Partnership Agreement [8] between Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and US EPA. As the two agencies lay out their working relationship and expectations in implementing federal standards and laws for human health and environmental protection over the next two-year cycle, it is important opportunity to flag our serious concerns related to DEQ and the agency’s need to improve scientific rigor, transparency, and accountability.
