Legislative Update

Earlier this week, the Capitol was busy with Legislative Days, where Committees held interim hearings on a range of topics – from pollinators to PFAS, and DEQ programs including Recycling Modernization and Climate Protection. With an overarching theme of funding challenges due to declining state revenues, the Legislature’s Emergency Board met Wednesday to approve 33 requests from state agencies and programs [7]. Well replacement and repair, groundwater quality, and wildfire were among the issues addressed by the funding.
