Regulatory Update
By Oregonians for Food and Shelter [6],
OFS is serving on the Oregon Department of Agriculture’s (ODA) Pesticide Rules Advisory Committee, which is working to align Oregon’s pesticide rules with EPA requirements. The committee brings together a broad range of stakeholders, including agricultural organizations such as Oregon Farm Bureau, Wallowa County Grain Growers, and Wilbur-Ellis, as well as worker advocacy organizations including the Northwest Workers’ Justice Project, Oregon Law Center, and PCUN.
This week, the committee discussed proposed rule language for pesticide recordkeeping requirements. OFS will continue participating throughout the rulemaking process, advocating for clear, workable requirements that can be implemented by those affected.
