Farm Bureau recognizes Rep. McLane and Sen. Ferrioli

Senate Republican Leader Ted Ferrioli and House Republican Leader Mike McLane were honored with special awards by OFB President Barry Bushue and OFB Executive Vice President Dave Dillon during the 81st Oregon Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in Bend, Dec. 10-12, 2013.

Both legislators earned a 100% voting record with OFB priority bills during the 2013 State Legislative Session. During the fall’s special session, they also were instrumental in the passage of OFB-supported SB 863, which prevents local governments from regulating agricultural seed and nursery stock, including biotech crops.

“These two leaders have changed the narrative for agriculture in the State Capitol,” said OFB President Barry Bushue. “Farm Bureau thanks them for their consistent, undaunted support of Oregon’s family farmers and ranchers.”
